RE: Winter Honda 2000i storage planning

We have found that Seafoam is superior to Stabil. We use Seafoam in all of our Snowmobiles,ATV's,UTV's, Motorcycles and chainsaws ( over 45 units total ) with no carb or injector problems. We simply add the recommended amount - and maybe a touch more- start the engine and let her run for 5-10 minutes ( less than a minute or so for a chainsaw).

RE: Firestone 'Ride-Rite' 2071 for '97 F250

Ands that is in your opinion Wayne!
By the way no golf cart comes street legal I have found.
We will see how overloaded he is if he hits the scales. Will see who eats crow then.
So why do you need a street legal "golf cart"?? Have you not tried lessons to cure that slice- so that you not need to chase after the ball??
Could not resist-- and they do make street legal carts-- try google

RE: HOT TUBS in general SOFTUB in specific

I have had one and you are correct expensive to repair. If you are in the market for a hot tub- look at the "conventional" type.
Soft tubs are made for portability-not for long term stationary use.

RE: hallmark offering free tec work and advice

...I believes trails loves his Hallmark and Steve equally stands bye his Outfitter, although sometimes heated both seem to have valid points...
You are correct both Steve_in_29 and I believe in our campers- and yes it does seem heated at times-and if I have offended anyone I apologize.
I'm sure Outfitter is a great camper and actually was my first choice when I was shopping for a pop-up camper. I did visit with Bob and walked around the facility. After a couple weeks I was back in Denver and toured the Hallmark facility. I was pleased with fit and finish and the overall appearance of the Hallmark. I found that the basement of a Outfitter added more mass than I really wanted. The basement was appealing- but not for me.
The newest members of the forum maybe :h just a little or a lot. This really is a great place to learn. I have gleaned a ton of stuff (in a good way) from Steve_in_29 and Don Curley - both proud Outfitter owners :B
Please do not assume that each new member is an employee of a company -any company. Most manufactures receive a huge amount of support and PR from the members on this forum. Lets speak about the good experiences and service- hopefully more than the bad.

RE: hallmark offering free tec work and advice

Stroller, welcome to the forum! and I see from your signature you have a new Ute! WOW that is very cool-- well how do you like the camper? We really enjoy our Cuchara albeit a few years older than yours. We have owned a hard sided Shadow Crusier TC, Jayco 5er and of course a tent or two :B
Thanks for the link, this really explains the difference between "glass and epoxy resin"
Again Welcome!

RE: hallmark offering free tec work and advice

Went to hallmark again today, what fun. Today I wanted to see how glass campers are assembled. And for you people in the northwest hallmark says there going to be in Washington and Oregan all through the month of october to offer tec advice on any camper.
Hi Larry
I plan on doing the same in about a week!

RE: Torsion Lifts

I still note that after all this, no one has rebutted what "camper69" posted though.
Why the customer was given the manufactures recommendation -really that not such a bad thing to be given the facts.
Again it seems you didn't actually bother to read (or at least didn't comprehend) what I posted. I made NO reference to permissions, only to the fact that your post facilitated a manufacturer that was banned from RV.net to still have his messages posted on RV.net in a round-about fashion.
Get real- The post was on another forum (err "public forum" ) as I stated in OP an interesting thread and great photos of a state of the art composite roof- that is functional.
By the way, wildcamper is standing on one of those dreaded "milk-crate roof racks" in his picture so it seems they have no problem installing them if the buyer won't pony up the extra cash for the Yakimas.
That is the beauty of a quality "semi custom" manufacture- they listen to the customer and install what the customer desires.
You might want to get your eyes checked or at least take off those rose colored glasses. There is a lot more then some chipped gel coat there.
Wait let me look again- err your right- you can fill it with Bondo baby :B

RE: Torsion Lifts

Did you actually read what I posted? I don't know how much plainer I could have wrote it but once again here it is, YES unlike hallmark, Outfitter is indeed using a beefed up version of the Heco style system that they build themselves in-house
Just curious- do they have permission to duplicate or make a beefed up version?
Again it seems you didn't actually bother to read (or at least didn't comprehend) what I posted. I made NO reference to permissions, only to the fact that your post facilitated a manufacturer that was banned from RV.net to still have his messages posted on RV.net in a round-about fashion.
No comprendo- :B
I merely linked to another discussion on another "public forum" Which seems so be an allowable practice on many forums.
Apparently you missed the context of my post--"functional" roof racks that transfer the load to a larger surface area vs "milk carton" style racks.
Here's another "borrowed" pic that shows another example of what I am talking about.
Again looks to be cosmetic - the gel goat is chipped and a easy repair. Far easier than gluing down a three corner tear- that may allow water intrusion. Your examples can be field patched with duct tape if needed

RE: Torsion Lifts

Why are you questioning the roof weight limits??It seems to me that Hallmark has tested the composite roof to 2000lbs with roof up and not down.
Is it not the manufactures "lift" system that has the restriction?? Are you not using the same industry standard lift system? Or has Outfitter developed a very similar lift system?
Yes the photos are really nice :B
The post you referred to is in your words posted "on a public forum" so I guess ANYONE can quote, refer or link without permission- Thanks for the advise :B
The picture you "borrowed" is purely cosmetic or did it tear the honeycomb?
